For twenty years the goal was page one of Google. AI apps skip the page and pick two or three businesses for the customer, and they often don't pick the ones Google ranks highest.

A Google search and an AI search work differently.

Google hands the customer a list and lets them choose. An AI app reads around the web, makes the choice for them, and writes it up as one answer.

That changes what it takes to be found. Ranking on page one isn't enough if the AI never mentions you.

Why Kestrel

A kestrel hovers in one spot over a field and watches for the small movement everyone else misses.

That's the job. AI answers shift from week to week, and most businesses never see them. We keep watch over what the AI apps say about you, every month, and tell you plainly what changed and what to do about it.

After the check

Three ways to keep going. Every plan includes the monthly check, so you can see whether the numbers move.

Nobody can guarantee you a spot in an AI answer.

Not us, and not anyone else selling this. The AI apps decide for themselves and change how they work without notice. What we can do is fix the things they rely on, ask the same questions the same way every month, and show you honestly whether it's working.

Questions people ask first

Isn't this just SEO?

It overlaps. A good Google profile, real reviews and a clear website help with both. The difference is what gets measured. SEO tracks where you rank on a page of results. Kestrel tracks whether the AI names you when it gives one answer, and which websites it trusted to decide.

Can't I just ask ChatGPT myself?

You can, and it's worth doing. But the AI apps remember what you've told them and tailor answers to you, so what you see isn't what a stranger sees. One ask also isn't reliable, because the answer changes. We ask each question several times in clean sessions across four apps and keep the history, so you see a trend instead of a guess.

Who is this for?

Local businesses whose customers pick from a short list: real estate agents and teams, trades, clinics, cafes, professional services. We started with real estate agents in Dufferin and Wellington counties, and the check works for most local businesses.

Is the check really free?

Yes. You get the report, and we'll walk you through it if you'd like. There's no obligation.

How long until something changes?

Some fixes show up within weeks, especially on apps that search the web live, like Perplexity. Others take a few months to work through. That's why we track monthly rather than judging it on one week.
